Manufacturing Engineer – high volume, machining, Lean, process development, tooling

A growing division of a large OEM manufacturing company is searching for another engineer to join their team. This division is a solid company with many long term employees. They offer good benefits and possible career growth for the right candidate.

We are searching for candidates with a 4 year technical degree and minimum of 3 years of experience. Interested candidates should have a production machining background. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting the machining area, developing processes, process sheets, process drawings, procuring tooling, process change documents, problem solving production issues, identifying new technology and special projects to improve processes, justify new equipment and reducing cost. Candidates with training in Lean, 5-S and standardize work procedures are preferred. Past experience developing processes for single spindle, multiple spindle CNC lathes and machining centers is required. Knowledge of CNC programming is a plus. Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds / feeds, work holding devices and loading systems is also required. This engineer will work closely with machinist to solve production issues, provide training on new equipment and utilize input to develop cost reductions.

MUST HAVE: a 4 year technical degree, 3 years of production machining, knowledge of cycletimes cutting tools and machining processes. Experience in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5-S, SMED and continuous improvement techniques is a plus. CNC Programming is also preferred.
