This position of Senior Inspector is for fixed equipment for the Cherry Point BU and includes responsibilities for pressure vessels, piping, heaters, boilers, tanks and PSV's. The Inspector will perform inspections in the role of "Authorized Inspector" as defined by the National Board Inspection Code on repairs and alterations of boilers and pressure vessels in order to establish condition and fitness for continued service in accordance with BP Recommended Practices and Standards, National Codes and Standards, and State Jurisdiction requirements. Skills:
A minimum of five years inspection experience in a refinery or chemical plant. Experience in non-destructive testing methods and techniques is beneficial.

Knowledgeable in refinery processing facilities and processing equipment and corrosion mechanisms

Knowledge in all non-destructive examination techniques

Education / Certifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
The Senior Inspector will be required to pass the National Board Exam and the Washington State Boilers and Pressure Vessels exam and obtain a National Board Commission and a Washington State Commission

This position requires ability to climb stairways and ladders, entrance into confined spaces, ability to use respiratory and personal protective equipment and vision must comply with ASNT. The schedule is typically a 4/10 working schedule. There is a requirement for rotating on-call coverage on the weekends. Turnaround schedules and other outages require extended work periods which include night coverage.
