Salary: $79,000 - $119,000 per year

Responsibilities:
Responsible for component support and monitoring. Focus is to support the plants on day-to-day issues as well as maintain respective programs. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
• Providing technical information concerning program performance requirements and bases, compliance status, and related industry operating experience to support site Engineering, Operations and Maintenance personnel.
• Focus on the identification of potential problems, condition-based monitoring of program equipment and PM optimization through feedback from Maintenance personnel as well as component PM reviews.
• Ensure engineering work is performed and programs implemented on a fleet level consistent with defined standards.
• Develop, plan and coordinate or implement special projects, corrective action plans, and improvement programs to address component problems or regulatory sensitive issues, including input to define appropriate outage work scope.
• Support Maintenance and Operations in component troubleshooting and provide component / discipline expertise for troubleshooting significant events or complex plant problems.
• Support changes in assigned component configuration / design and associated design basis.
• Serve on outage engineering support teams as assigned.
• Attend Training and maintain Qualifications necessary to perform required group functions.
• Ensure that fleet lessons learned and good practices are implemented
Skills:
Required Qualifications:
• High School graduate diploma or equivalent required, BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other closely related scientific discipline preferred
• Meet the qualification requirements set forth in the applicable codes and standards and possess or be able to obtain Level III certifications (if achieved, specify Level of qualification for qualified NDE methods including current PDI qualifications) in accordance with applicable Entergy procedures
• Capable of performing the inspections, examinations and tests in accordance with fleet procedures and work packages including natural or corrected near distance visual acuity of Snellen fraction 20/25 or better in at least one eye, uncorrected or corrected and ability to differentiate contrast between colors used in the NDE methods
• Be familiar with the tools and equipment to be employed and demonstrated proficiency in their use
• Capable of determining that the calibration status of M&TE is current, it is in proper condition for use and that the inspections, examination and test procedures are approved
• 50.59 and 72.48 qualifications or ability to obtain
• UT personnel must possess or be capable of possessing appropriate PDI qualifications through EPRI

Desired Qualifications:
• Certified in Industrial Radiography
• Knowledge of computer data management programs
• Strong working knowledge in construction and inservice codes beyond the aspects of NDE
• Familiarity with materials and materials manufacturing processes
