Kleinfelder's Austin Office is looking for a Structural Steel/Coatings Inspector to join our team. This position will focus on observation and testing of structural steel that will include non destructive testing with ultrasonic, magnetic particle and liquid penetrant methods. It will also focus on observation and testing of steel water construction and rehabilitation, this will include observation and testing surface preparation and application of industrial coatings on below/above ground and elevated water tanks. Additional work may support the commercial/industrial, transportation, water and energy markets.

Work responsibilities will include following all of Kleinfelder’s safety requirements, adhering to work schedules, writing reports of observations and tests that are performed; climbing water tanks, ladders and working at heights, work as a team member with all.

Minimum 1 - 2 years of structural steel observation and testing with NDT methods, and of surface preparation and industrial coatings applications on steel structures and water tanks experience required

Certifications requirements will include AWS CWI, ASNT-TC1A NDT Level II in ultrasonic, magnetic particle and liquid penetrant testing methods, setting for and passing the Kleinfelder NDT certification tests for these three methods will be required
