RELIABILITY INSPECTOR
Kennewick, WA

Reporting to the Reliability Supervisor, and working with the direction and guidance of Agrium’s Chief Inspector, this role will be responsible for the overall mechanical inspection program and assessment of the mechanical integrity and safety of Agrium’s Kennewick facility. This role will help to improve mechanical Reliability performance to world class standards for assessing the mechanical integrity, reliability and safety of all plant operating equipment and executing the inspection needs for this facility.

Specific responsibilities will include:
• Pressure equipment and tank inspection;
• Corrosion monitoring of vessels and pressure piping systems;
• Nondestructive testing, including Liquid Penetration Inspection (LPI), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT);
• Turnaround planning and coordinating;
• Technical report writing; and
• Data entry using the Inspection Management Database (DMAPS).
• Managing the Kennewick site owner-user program for Washington State.
• 25% travel to other USN locations
Skills:
Qualifications of the position include:
• A technical certificate in a related discipline, B.S in mechanical engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 5-10 years' previous inspection experience in a chemical plant or refinery;
• Maintain applicable certifications (e.g., NDT techniques: UT,MT,PT, VT,LT; AWS CWI; ASME; API 510,570,653, etc.
• National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors Certificate.
• Washington State Boiler Inspection Certificate or the ability to obtain said certificate.
• Knowledge of Ivara EXP, RCM II and PM optimization methodologies would be beneficial
• Knowledge of AMSE code (Sec VII, 31.3, 31.1 etc.)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
