Mistras Group, Inc. is in search of a fulltime certified API 653 Inspector in southern California.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to, the following:

API 653 Tank Inspector
• Minimal 2 years continues experience performing tank inspections.
• Must live in the local LA area
• Must be willing to travel as needed, however primary service West Coast
• NDE experience is a plus
• Report Generation Compiling field notes, historic documentation, and drawings to produce a technical inspection report

Tank NDE is a plus
• Minimum 800 hours MFL tank experience
• UT, MT, PT level II training


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENTS

• Proficient with computers, Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, telephone and follow-up skills
• Demonstrate strong administrative skills with excellent judgment and problem resolution skills and ability.
• Successfully pass drug test and back ground check.
• Experience with Above Ground Storage Tanks, Refineries and Marketing Terminals is desirable.
• API 653 Certification

• Project a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, positive behavior that encourages customer confidence and reflects the professional image desired by Mistras.
• Must be able to use fall protection, respirator and or breathing air during inspections if required.
• Must be able to use small hand tools, have clear speech for radio use, read and comprehend gauges and processes, and write clearly.
• Must be able to work, primarily standing, walking, and leaning over, outdoors in all weather, including extreme weather conditions.
