Acuren is a leading provider of Pipeline Integrity services to several of the major pipeline operators in North America.

Pipeline Integrity is growing business due to the age of many of the those pipeline assets and the regulatory requirements for their maintenance and with a number of established contracts Acuren is well positioned to provide future ongoing work.

The work is located throughout Canada, predominantly the western provinces, with opportunities for additional work in the United States. Shifts will be based primarily on project basis and as a result the projects may last for several months where you will be working Monday to Saturday with Sunday off.

The length of the project will be determined at based on the volume of dig sites per project. Shifts are a minimum of 10 hours per day, with additional overtime hours to be expected. There will also be a portion of the work performed on a rotational basis; again rotation will be determined based on the scope of the project.

A typical day would begin at approximately 7 AM with a safety meeting with the pipeline owner and all subcontracts. The daily assignments will be communicated at this meeting. Your daily assignments would be, but not limited to; travel to the various excavations, performing corrosion, crack, dent, filet weld and general assessments on the condition of the exposed pipe and as per an inline inspection tools log. Your responsibilities would include, but not be limited to; perform your task in a safe manner as required by all federal, provincial, owner and company’s requirements, perform the assessments to the owner’s requirements and the company’s procedures. There is a significant reporting requirement that will be performed both throughout the day and after the field shift.
The work performed by Acuren is essential to our client’s ability to continue the operations of their pipelines and to the implementation of a continuous improvement program with their inline inspection tools vendors and as a result that work will be performed to a high degree of accuracy and which will be subjected to a high level of oversight by the owners, the regulators, and Acuren.

Integrity Supervisor - Minimum technical requirements:
-CGSB II UT/MT
-Computer Skills
-Pipeline Integrity Experience
-Fillet Weld Inspection
Additional certifications that would be an asset and a future requirement:
-Advanced crack evaluation and sizing
-Automated corrosion mapping
-Phased Array UT
-TOFD

Senior Technician - Minimum technical requirements:
-CGSB II UT/MT
-Computer Skills

Additional certifications that would be an asset and a future requirement:
-Fillet Weld Inspection
-Pipeline Integrity Experience
-Advanced crack evaluation and sizing
-Automated corrosion mapping
-Phased Array UT
-TOFD

Junior Technician - Minimum technical requirements:
-CGSB Level II MT
-Computer Skills
Additional certifications that would be an asset and a future requirement:
-Pipeline Integrity Experience
-CGSB Level I UT
-Pipeline Integrity Experience

Valid Driver's License and Clean Driver's Abstract
