Looking for a qualified and competent Level II MT, PT, UT (thickness and shearwave)and VT technician for a full time position in the Lafayette, LA. area. This technician would be working closely with the client, in the customer's yard, performing various NDT tasks on pressure vessels and other related oilfield equipment, weld inspection (UT shearwave)of circular and longitudinal welds, MT/PT of weld areas and nozzle welds, padeye load testing and managing of client's documentation and traceability records for this equipment. Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word, able to communicate with other personnel and have a knowledge of weld inspection and types of discontinuities found during certain welding procedures. Strong growth potential within the company.
Qualified applicants for this position should have:
- Extensive knowledge of Mechanical Integrity and weld inspection methods with at least 2 years of experience.
- A track record showing the ability to achieve directives under minimal supervision.
Additional requirements for this position include, but are not limited to: participation in an employment drug screening program, fit for duty testing, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass FBI and employment background screening.

Must be certifiable to ASNT SNT-TC-1A Level II in MT, PT, UT (thickness and shearwave. CWI certification is a plus.
Inspection certifications required MT, VT, PT, UT. Good organizational skills with a high attention to detail required.
Must be mechanically inclined.
Additional skills required:
• Self-motivated with an ability to work independently and deal directly with customers.
• Able to take instruction well from manager, or others in charge.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills.
• Legible writing skills needed to fill out invoices and reports.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
