This position will provide scientific and technical oversight of developments and applications regarding Nondestructive evaluation for our clients company and its products, particularly using electro-magnetic techniques such as magnetic particle, eddy current and Barkhausen Noise Testing to verify that products are free of cracks or other structural problems that could lead to bearing failure.

Specifically, this person will be expected to:

* Contribute to innovations regarding the application of NDE to enhance the Company's technical capabilities and competencies for creation of value and strategic advantage.
* Maintain Level III certifications in the magnetic particle and eddy current inspection test methods
* Possess an indepth understanding and knowledge of Barkhausen Noise Testing methods .
* Apply scientific knowledge of NDE methods and approaches to continuing development and refinement of techniques used for company products and processes.
* Review and ensure maintenance of all Corporate NDT specifications and revision of internal processes as required.
* Support business units and facilities with recommendations on process improvement and/or awareness of process control issues.
* Lead investigation, development and application of technology changes as applied to NDE processes.
* Lead and participate in technical teams to solve product/process problems across Technology and business units.
Requirements:


This position is with our client located in North Canton, Ohio.


Skills:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science with 10-12 years experience.

MASTER in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science with 8-10 yrs experience or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science with 6-8 yrs experience.

Level III certification in Eddy Current inspection necessary as well as detailed understanding of eddy current science.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 yrs industrial eddy current inspection experience.

Desired candidates will have a network of eddy current inspection providers as well as inspection developers.
Working knowledge of Barkhausen inspection.

Position requires a strong results focus as well as excellent communication and team skills.

Candidates will be expected to be highly innovative and provide both technical and scientific leadership.
