Stork Herron Testing Labs, Inc. is a member of the Stork Materials Technology (SMT) group of companies.

Our facility in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking a NDT Technician to join our team.

The primary function of the NDT Technician is to perform equipment calibrations and conduct testing in accordance with procedures approved by the Level III Technician. Interprets, evaluates and documents test results.

This position is a Technician level and reports to the Non-Destructive Testing Department Manager.
Essential duties include:
Conducts a variety of tests using established methods.
Tasks are performed both in the laboratory and off site.
Sets up and calibrates test equipment and records test data.
Maintains related test equipment and tools in good working condition.
Performs other duties as assigned.


Skills:
Education:

Completion of or curretnly enrolled in a two year technical trades training an applicable subject and/or previous qualifciation or certification in at least one NDT method.

Experience:

MT Lab work on castings, forgings, finished parts using Horizontal bench. Also, field testing of welds.

PT Lab work on castings, forgings, finished parts using standard penetrant line. Also, field testing of welds.

UT Lab work on plate and bar contact. Field work on welds and thickness readings.

RT Lab work using mainly X-ray tube, testing castings and welds.

Experience with ASTM E1444, 1417, 709, 165, 1742, 446, 155. ASME Section V,VIII, XI. AWS D1.1.

Ability to organize and document NDT results
Familiar with testing codes and standards
Ability to work a flexible schedule. Days, nights, weekends, and overtime required.
