Fugro Consultants, part of a global geoscience, engineering and marine survey company is interested in IMMEDIATELY hiring an NDT SPECIALIST TECHNICIAN/SUPERVISOR, in the Kenner LA location to plan, coordinate and direct NDT technicians and specialist technicians in accordance with NDT’s workload, ensuring highest quality of testing in most cost effective manner. The position requires experience in a variety of nondestructive test methods, practice with nondestructive testing and visual inspection of up-stream and down-stream oil related piping and equipment. Candidates should also be experienced in pipe and vessel welding shops, machine shops, bridges, sub sea equipment, structures, and in petrochemical plants.
Coordinate and direct NDT technicians/specialist technicians to optimum level of production and efficiency in accordance with NDT workload.
Perform various testing to company’s nondestructive testing procedures.
Develop and maintain quality per A2LA / ISO 17025.
Provide review of reports and ensure commitments to clients are met.
Actively participate in marketing of NDT services.
Mentor, train and develop junior NDT staff in nondestructive methods and quality issues.
Be able to travel extensively (required), both domestically and internationally.
Communicate tactfully and effectively, verbally and in writing.
Coordinate and direct NDT technicians/specialist technicians to optimum level of production and efficiency in accordance with NDT workload.

Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required/Associate’s degree preferred.
Technical School education strongly preferred.
CWI, Ultrasonic Level II Shearwave, ASNT Level II certifications
Possess current driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
Possess or be able to obtain valid TWIC and passport.
CWI Tech Level II, Ultrasound Tech Level II, ASNT Level II in at least three methods UT, MT, RT, PT, VT and ET (NACE certification is a plus).
Pass client’s background check requirements.
Three or more years of experience.
Proficient with computers and software, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel to various clients offices and job sites.
Ability to performs heavy work exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally or a considerable amount of force constantly to move objects.
Must be able to perform work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must be able to carry standard NDT equipment (50 pounds)
