Location: California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah preferred, but will consider candidates in any western US state.

The technician in this role must be capable of assuming a senior role in both the conduct on the individual project level, and with the other technicians gaining experience around them. This position is expected to be able to follow, and implement all the written practices and policies regarding the pipeline integrity inspections, as well as develop these procedures to constantly improve the delivered product to the clients. This position requires analytical abilities, good communication skills (for both co-workers and clients), a great working knowledge of the various NDE disciplines, and solid professional writing capabilities.

This position will be responsible for being a lead on various in-field projects, and in the training and development of the other technicians being brought through our pipeline integrity training system. This position requires the ability of the applicant to be away from their residence for periods of time from 2 consecutive days up to 60 consecutive days without relief.

Skills:
REQUIRED TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Recognized 40 hour Pipeline Integrity Training Program
Advanced Crack Sizing Ultrasonic Course – 40hr minimum
ACCP / CGSB / ASNT Level 2 Ultrasonic Certificate
ACCP / CGSB / ASNT Level 2 Magnetic Particle Certificate
Working knowledge of Rstreng Calculation Software (or KAPA Spreadsheet)
Working knowledge of GPS equipment & mapping software

REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE LEVELS:
Minimum of 2 years in the pipeline integrity industry
Minimum of 200 dig assessments
Minimum of 3 separate client projects
Minimum of 50 reports to your credit

BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE:
Mark Davis NDE Crack sizing OR defect characterization UT courses
Working with automated ultrasonic inspection equipment
Phased Array
TOFD
Working with automated corrosion mapping equipment (AUT)
Familiarity with Databases operations
Familiarity with GIS systems in either ESRI, PODS or ISAT formats
Good working knowledge of computers and all windows based applications
Good typing skills
Professional writing capabilities
