Detroit Area (Southfield Mi.) Machine Shop is looking for QUALIFIED candidates to interview for the following position
Magnetic Particle Level II Inspector Position
Must have complete documentation for qualification to level 2 IAW SNT-TC-1A or NAS-410
Previous employer certifications required.
Responsibilities will include
• Processing / inspecting material using the fluorescent wet continuous method on stationary horizontal equipment.
• Report findings and certify material IAW ASTM E1444 and Customer Requirements
• Providing on-the-job training support for additional inspection personnel
• Perform and maintain equipment daily checks and required calibrations
• Participate in and support internal NDT audits
• Work with offsite Corporate Level III
• Develop inspection techniques on new product IAW ASTM E1444 and E709
• SNT-TC-1A or NAS documented training (formal and OJT) are required.
• The candidate must be able to perform all functions without direct supervision
• Portable (Probe) experience a plus
Unqualified persons need not apply.
Qualified candidates will be required to take a pre-entry Method General Exam.
