Description
Superior Tube Company is a growing manufacturing firm in the small diameter tubing industry. Our products can be found in the aerospace industry, life saving medical devices and commercial power generation components.

We are currently seeking an Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level 1 Technician to support our quality and production goals. Some of the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Must meet minimum vision requirements;
• Takes and satisfactorily passes certification and re-certification tests - Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Eddy Current (EC), Liquid Penetrant (LP), Visual, Dimensional as it relates to normal NDT functions;
• Setting up equipment used including operation of a lathe for making bushings as required;
• Takes and satisfactorily passes a vision test annually or at such times as deemed necessary;
• Performs calibration checks and makes minor repairs on some non-destructive testing equipment;
• Verifies existence of calibration standards, or prepares standard for cutting of notches/drilling holes, or drills holes as required;
• Identifies and cuts samples of rejected material for metallurgical examination;
• Records information on inspection forms, and submits reports.

Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in multiple nondestructive testing methods required in ultrasonic and eddy current or penetrant inspection. Shall have nondestructive testing experience and classroom training to meet the Level I minimum requirements of NAS 410 (Classroom Training: PT - 16 hrs, UT - 40 hrs, ET - 40 hrs; Experience: PT - 130 hrs, UT - 400 hrs, ET - 400 hrs)
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Ability to interact with all levels of management and employees.
