Large manufacturing company in Gardena, CA. Seeks for NDT Inspector Level I
& II for the 1st and 2nd shift.

QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS Be Responsible to train and examine inspection
personnel for NDT certification or to perform NDT inspection operations where
entry or intermediate NDT certification is required and where standard company
and customer procedures are followed. Utilize a broad knowledge of lower level
NDT techniques and methods together with an ability to train employees in NDT
concepts and manual skills, to evaluate employee NDT performance, and to
interpret NDT results.

Review written company requirements for specific nondestructive testing and
recommend specific additions or changes to assure company compliance with
government standards. Compile and organize technical data for course
preparation and prepare course outlines and other training aids to conduct
selected NDT training courses, and prepare and administer tests and
acceptance criteria and grade examinations for qualifying lower NDT level
personnel.
Establish techniques, interpret specifications and codes for particular test to be
used, and interpret results of specific nondestructive testing performed.
Propose revision of company procedure for selected nondestructive testing.
Develop and revise data work statements for nondestructive testing operations
for use by inspection personnel. Instruct inspection personnel in basic
principles, products, equipment, operating procedures and test techniques
related to specific NDT method. Provide additional instruction including
standardization and calibration, interpretation and evaluation of test results,
safety, and applicable codes, specifications and standards. Act as an NDT
examiner and prepare, administer and grade appropriate questions and
demonstration tests for specific NDT method. Setup and operate NDT
equipment as certified to inspect materials, parts, or weldments using magnetic
principle, liquid penetrant, conductivity or eddy current NDT methods. Stamp
off or otherwise approve acceptable items. Act as a focal point for technical
questions relating to nondestructive testing procedures. Maintain appropriate
customer and company certifications for top level nondestructive testing.
