CDI is currently recruiting for our client a global provider of energy equipment and solutions for the power generation and oil gas industries. This challenging contract opportunity is located at our client site in Orlando, FL. We are recruiting for an NDE Level II/III for nondestructive testing of power generation equipment. The identified candidate will be responsible for the qualification and surveillance of suppliers, development of new NDE processes, and support of field service NDE, utilizing all relevant nondestructive test methods.

The position will work for internal and external customers with diverse needs and support the Inspection of new and service components. The position requires communication and teaming with Design, Manufacturing, Service Support and Repair organizations. Technologies include advanced tools like C-scan Ultrasonic, CT & Microfocus X-ray, Infrared and automated systems. Application includes volumetric and surface NDE technologies.

Responsibilities:
• Technical responsibility for nondestructive tests
• Determines conformance of parts and materials to specifications
• Develop and perform nondestructive tests and analysis on systems and components
• Document inspection results in accordance with company procedures and work instructions
• Define and track part-specific solutions for quality problems in the design phase
• Lead field support teams on Utility customer machinery.
• Support failure analysis, define and implement corrective actions at suppliers
• Feed back field performance information to Design for continuous improvement
• Conduct Probability of detection analysis and measurements for measurement of NDE test performance
• Candidate requires capabilities in Leadership, Analysis, Organization, Quality, inspection and communication
• Perform other duties as required and work independently as needed without direct supervision
• Work overtime as required to support demanding workload
• 30% Travel

Skills:
Prerequisites:
• AS ( Level II ) or BS ( Level III) degree in Engineering related field or equivalent experience, advanced degree is a plus
• Minimum of 4 years of experience certified to ASNT Level II or III for UT, RT, ET, PT, MT, TIR is a plus
• Experience with inspection of complex assemblies in accordance with standard procedures, specifications, methods and practices
• Knowledge of manufacturing technology, quality management, Six Sigma, FMEA , Root Cause Analysis
• Expert knowledge of NDE guidelines, standards and rules
• Experience in project management, IT / computer tools, processes and methods
• Business fluent in English
• Practical experience in quality assurance methods is preferable
• Experience and knowledge in co-operation with different cultures / languages is preferred
