PROJECT MANAGER

Reports to Corporate Project Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Project Manager provides onsite management of all day to day activities for the North Slope Mistras Project. PM is responsible for all onsite activities performed by employees of Mistras Group, Inc. Activities include but are limited to insuring all Mistras employees are in compliance with all Mistras Group policies and procedures. PM will have authority to represent Mistras Group on all staffing, provision of services, quality and safety issues.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Project Manager reports to the client on staffing numbers, worksite locations, and specific projects employees are working at on a daily basis. Project Manager chairs and sets the agenda for weekly staff meetings in which personnel positions, training requirements / training scheduling, safety issues, and crew supervision planning and policies are decided and implemented. PM assures that Key Performance Indicators are being met and reports all Mistras performance in Quarter Performance Review meetings with the Client.

Project Manager will conduct along with the HSE Advisor weekly safety meetings

OPERATIONAL SUPPORT
• Provides supervision and support to the operational team for MISTRAS at the North Slope Project;
• Manage a broad spectrum of personnel, logistics and vehicles;
• Primary manager for "core values" safety culture;
• Mistras Liaison with Clients’ CIC leadership and clients corporate attachι;
• Conducts planned site inspections including vehicles, work area, field conditions, etc.;
• Manages required supervisory field safety observations (SOCs) and ensures observations are entered into Clients computer tracking program (KPI);
• Manages, updates and reports project KPI’s;
• Acts as a liaison between management and outside agencies
• Ensures timely completion of "deadline driven" projects

COMMUNICATIONS
• Coordinates and chairs weekly and monthly staff meetings
• Provides frequent updates to Mistras Corporate Manager
• Primary liaison for Mistras & project personnel
• Primary liaison with Client
• Sounding board for project personnel

INCIDENT MANAGEMENT
• Primary Incident Command "in charge" during contingencies
• Provides oversight of all incidents and investigations in accordance with Mistras corporate and BPXA policies

QUALIFICATIONS

Academics
• Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline (preferably engineering) with 10 years petro-chemical industry experience (with 3 years experience in project management) or;
• Associate of Science in a technical discipline (preferably engineering or technology) with 15 years petro-chemical industry experience (with 5 years experience in project management) or;
• Multiple API Certifications with 18 years petro-chemical industry experience (with 7 years experience in project management/first line supervision)

REQUIRED

The Project manager will have at minimum an API 570 certification along with ASNT level II in RT and UT testing. Preferred requirements are:
• API 653 and 510 certifications
• ASNT level III RT

Individuals will work a 2-3 weeks on/2-3 weeks off, 7 days/week, 11.5 hours/day schedule. Work turnaround hours for half the year, get the other half off, AND get benefits at NO COST to you! We are seeking someone that can seriously give at least a 1-2 year commitment. This is a FULLTIME position with benefits. We are not seeking short term contractors.

Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Employees must also undergo rope access training.
