The Opportunity
We’re looking for certified NDT INSPECTORS (LEVEL II CGSB Ultrasonic & Mag Particle). The position will be based out of Red Deer but will require travel throughout Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
•Non-destructive testing of welds, during and after process completion
•Assisting in inventory control for NDT related materials
•Field non-destructive examination and supervision
•Involving/assisting in all aspects of job preparations including, but not limited to, employee/subcontractor notifications, budget preparations inputs, shop maintenance, manufacturing and R&D related tasks as they are required
•Conduct test to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using Magnetic Particle Inspection, Ultrasonic and Liquid Penetrant Techniques
•Establish techniques for proper examination/inspection of weldments and other structural products for ensuring strict adherence to Acceptance Standards, Customer Requirements and Safety Regulations
•Evaluation/Interpretation of Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic and Liquid Testing Non-destructive Inspection results and proper distinction between relevant and non-relevant indications
•Organization of Test Results and their eventual reporting/submission to the operations office
Skills:
• An aptitude for mathematics and science
• Mechanical ability
• An interest in working with processes and equipment
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• The ability to work effectively and cooperatively as part of a technical or engineering team
• Oilfield knowledge (An asset but not required)
