Southern Heat Exchanger Services, a local metal fabricator and leader in the Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger Industry for 50 years, is currently looking to fill the following position. Operations include welding, fitting and machining. Southern Heat Exchanger Services is a part of the NDA Group based in Hamilton, New Zealand and has plants in Tuscaloosa, Houston, New Zealand, and Australia.

Welder

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Complete all welding on sub-assemblies and complete heat exchangers
• Read prints to determine weld types
• May be required to in other areas of production
• Ensure a clean and safe work area
• Ability to work overtime as required
• Be an active participant in the SHECO quality assurance program

The successful candidate should have several years of fitting experience. The candidate should be highly motivated and results oriented to contribute in a team environment and have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. This position will report to a supervisor and compensation will be commensurate with experience.
