A growing multi plant corporation serving the orthopedic and medial device industry is expanding their world class manufacturing facility. We are searching for a Swiss CNC Lathe Programmer / Leader to help develop the department to a whole new level. The Swiss CNC Lathe Programmer will keep the company on top of the latest in swiss lathe machine tool technology, cutting tools and CAM software. A minimum of 3 years of swiss lathe programming, in a medical device environment. This position will focus on new product development, R&D and process development. Experience using CAM software and 3-D modeling is preferred. The responsibilities include interaction with cross functional teams, tool selection, CNC programming, proving out processes, machine set ups, debugging and training associates on processes going into production. The Swiss Lathe Programmer will work on improvement projects on existing processes and continuously look at opportunities to innovate. The position will have involvement in bringing in new machine tools, work with vendors on tool trials and try out newly developed cam software. Strong hand on swiss cnc lathe machining and set up skills are a must.

MUST HAVE: a minimum of 3 years of swiss lathe programming, machine set up, medical device and a thirst for technology. Strong computer skills are also needed. Past experience using CAM softwaer such as Partmaker, Esprit and/or Mastercam is preferred. Knowledge of 3-D modeling such as Solidworks, Autocad Inventor, Pro Engineering, Unigraphics and/or other brands of 3-D CAM software is a plus.
