SUMMARY
This role supports manufacturing with improvements to current and new manufacturing processes and solutions to manufacturing process problems for STAR Swiss-style CNC machines. This role Interfaces closely with Engineers to ensure that the most efficient methods of processing components and assemblies are within the specifications, constraints and the quality of the final product. This position is responsible for operation, set up and programming.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for supporting process development on STAR Swiss-style CNC machines with Fanuc controls on project oriented basis by performing time studies, tool studies and manufacturing support; monitoring/reducing manufacturing scrap costs; and maintaining vendor contact while applying Six Sigma methodology.
Partmaker programming experience is preferable.

Skills:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
