Position Summary:
Through effective process development and project or product launch, the Senior Project Manager manages a cross-functional team including Engineering, Programming, Operations, Quality, and Sales to provide robust manufacturing requirements.

Technical:
„X New product development, layout the manufacturing process incorporating all aspects of product design criteria.
„X Assist with Design for Manufacturability/Inspection (DFM/DFI) analysis on new and existing orders.
„X Identify, assess, and participate in continuous improvement opportunities using proven technical engineering tools and programs.
„X Improves existing operations, incorporating new methods and processes.
„X Identify and evaluate new equipment purchase and installation.
„X Investigates operational problems affecting production and dealing with them in a systematic, methodical manner.
„X Prepares manufacturing documentation required for product manufacture.
„X Provides manufacturing data.
„X Identifies ways to reduce production costs.
„X Works with engineering and other departments to produce cost estimates for new designs.
„X Understands and analyzes graphs and statistics and other complex information.
„X Works with regulatory bodies to ensure safety, environmental and design standards are met.

Leadership:
„X Effectively manage resources within Engineering and Sales Support to accommodate production schedules, manage project plans and ensure appropriate communication.
„X Lead and/or participate in pre-production planning and post-production assessment processes.
„X Mentor and provide leadership for Engineering department
„X Create and deliver presentations to engineers and colleagues in other departments.
„X Liaison with suppliers and customers.
„X Lead and develop customer relationships in partnership with sales.
„X Responsible for driving project success and both internal and external customer satisfaction.

Communication:
„X Maintain effective communication internally and externally regarding status, timing and production or manufacturing issues impacting the project.
„X Communicate consistently with internal and external customers at all organizational levels

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
„X Bachelor¡¦s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or other related Engineering disciplines. Prior experience with orthopedic medical device manufacturing preferred.
„X Advanced knowledge of Medical regulations and GMP¡¦s or related
„X Previous Project Management experience
„X Strong knowledge of CNC milling/turning and secondary operations such as but not limited to deburring, blasting and clean and passivation
„X Disciplined in cad software, use of Solidworks or Unigraphics preferred.
„X Working knowledge of Quality analytics tools including but not limited to SPC, FMEA, PFMEA preferred.
„X Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
„X Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints.
„X Working knowledge of GD&T preferred.
