We seek high-performing and resourceful individuals to join our team. We are currently seeking an NDT Certified Level II Inspectors for our Baytown, TX facility. Pay rate is $16 - $19 per hour.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the inspection of OCTG casing, tubing, and line pipe to confirm through the use of proven NDT methods that these products meet or exceed API specifications.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Inspect material quality by means of manual and automated EMI, UT MT and VT examination for seamless casing and tubular manufacturing operations
• Perform UT, VT, MT, EMI methods as a certified NDT Level II technician
• Responsible for the evaluation of surface and tubular characteristics for evaluation of compliance to API 5CT and applicable customer specifications; i.e. dimensional requirements, ovality, wall thickness, eccentricity, surface condition on ID and OD, etc.
• Perform daily process controls, calibration checks and maintain accurate records (logs) per quality program requirements
• General housekeeping and preventive maintenance are essential minimize contamination and for safe operation of equipment
• Maintain reporting in project documentation on a daily basis


Skills:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Requires a high school diploma and NDT Certification
• A minimum of one (1) year NDT experience is essential; five (5) years of NDT experience is a plus
• One (1) – three (3) years experience with OCTG products desirable
• Previous experience within a pipe mill environment preferred
• Must have a aptitude for electronics and computer based systems
• Experience with general hand tools and specific NDE equipment, quality measuring equipment and gauges relating to visual inspections, and specific NDE related chemicals and instruments required
• Must be knowledgeable of applicable codes and specifications relating to quality mandates, accept/reject criteria and written instructions or procedure
• Understanding of automated UT, MT and EMI inspection equipment is beneficial
