Manufacturing Supervisor – screw machines, multi spindle automatics, leadership
A division of a large corporation has an immediate need for a first shift supervisor. Their innovative product line and market share continues to grow. We are searching for a technical manager with direct hands on experience working with multiple spindled automatic screw machines. Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds and screw machine attachments is needed. The Manufacturing Supervisor will manage around 35 associates in one of their departments. Working from a production schedule, the supervisor is responsible for production planning, scheduling equipment, assigning work, monitoring production. This position is responsible for ensuring set ups, cycle times, machine uptime and throughput. Strong troubleshooting skills are needed to resolve production issues. Interested candidates will need experience hiring, reviewing, mentoring, motivating, training, disciplining and promoting highly skilled machinists. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience leading a minimum of 20 employees in a screw machine environment. Past experience working with one or more of the following brands of multi-spindle screw machines: Acme, New Britain, Davenport, Conematic, Schutte, Wickman, Euroturn, Tornos, Gildemeister and/or Index. This is a clean well-managed operation with capable equipment, tooling, and support resources.
MUST HAVE: direct hands on screw machine technical skills and 5 plus years of supervision, strong planning skills and the ability to motivate others is needed.
