Manufacturing Engineer – multiple spindle screw machines, automatic bar machines
A fortune 500 corporation has a great opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer. The company has household name recognition in consumer products. They offer great benefits, possible career growth and relocation assistance. This division will have a engineering manager retiring in a few years. New manufacturing engineering employees, with the right skills, will be eligible for advancement.
We are searching for candidates with 5 years or more of experience processing screw machines. Knowledge of tool design and the ability to develop process layouts is needed. Candidates will need experience selecting cams, gears and screw machine attachments. Past experience using CAD software to design cutting tools is referred. This position will design form tools, inserts and special cutting tools. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead problem solving teams resolving set up, tooling and machining issues. Experience interacting with machinists and maintenance technicians to assist in diagnosing and finding solutions is strongly preferred. The floor support focuses on helping the associates go through formal problem solving methodologies to find root cause. This division has highly skilled set up machinists and machine repair technicians. Our client will consider degreed or non degreed candidates. Non degreed candidates will need heavy experience on screw machines, shop match, CAD software and advance problem solving skills. Degreed candidates with some experience can be groomed for the position.
MUST HAVE: a minimum of 5 years of tooling and processing multi spindle screw machines. Strong leadership and communication skills is also needed. Promotable candidates are preferred.
