Job Title: Weld Engineer

Summary: Develops and maintains weld schedules and Robotic programs.
Hands on ability of debugging/trouble shooting MIG welders, TIG welders and
Resistance welders. Certifies welders through the weld certification program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.
o Prepare cycle time estimates in support of estimating activity.
o Manufacturing support activities- problem resolution and continuous
improvements.
o Establish weld parameters, weld sequences, and other baseline information
associated with launch of new product.
o Monitor and supervise weld validation activities related to product launch
projects.
o Participate in launch team activities.
o Oversight of fixture and equipment design and build as related to product
launches.
o Robot programming
o Customer support activities including weld audit coordination and customer
site visits.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.S) in Weld Technology from a four-year college or
university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
