The QA/QC Specialist NDT Level II Technician will perform VT, PT, MT Non-Destructive Testing, Calibrations, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results. Level II technician’s set-up and operate all applicable equipment, interpret and evaluate test results in respect to codes, standards, and specifications. Level II Technicians should be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the applicable methods and will exercise assigned responsibilities under the direction of the QA/QC Manager. ASNT SNT-TC-1A certification to Level II: MT, PT. Must have at least 3 years of experience as a NDE Technician/QC Specialist.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for QA/QC inspection functions, relating to fabrication, installation of piping, pressure vessels and structural steel.
• Comply with Sancus Safety Manual/Procedures.
• Document and report on quality progress.
• Keeping all appropriate records of daily activities and reporting all issues to the QA manager.
• Track & report on welder’s performance.
• Work with company management to deliver required results.
• Work to eliminate all defects in system, to prevent rework.
• Maintain Project Documents to allow completion of project turnover package.
• This position is not limited to these basic functions; additional tasks may be assigned by the QA/QC Manager.
Skills and Qualification Requirements:
• Ability to perform functions in Quality Control, Nondestructive Examination and Welding Inspection in accordance with ASME, API, AWS and other applicable Code or Standard requirements.
• Review specifications and designs for compliance with applicable codes.
• Must be willing to work in a diverse workgroup, without causing disruptions.
• Must have strong attendance record, and good organization skills to work in fast paced “Project Team” environment.
• Must be able to read & understand Engineered Drawing Packages.
• Knowledge and understanding of construction codes.
• Knowledge and understanding of NDE methods and required results.
• Code and mechanical drawing interpretation.
• Ability to utilize conventional and precision measuring instruments.
• Weld process knowledge, techniques, and application and inspections.
• Knowledge of electrode and filler materials.
• Ability to compare client specifications against various codes.
