We are seeking a Manufacturing UT Level II (Ultrasonic Tester) to join our growing quality assurance team.

Job Responsibilities

As a UT Level II (Ultrasonic Tester) you will interpret or evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, or procedures.

Additional responsibilities of the UT Level II include:

• Conducting manual Ultrasonic inspection using angle and straight beam of all U/T indications requiring prove-up
• Interpreting and following the applicable procedure requirements
• Responsible for recommending further testing if required

Job Requirements

As a UT Level II you must be able to work in an environment subject to fluctuations in heat, humidity, fumes, odors, dust and noise.

Additional requirements of the UT Level II include:

• 3 years of hands-on experience with manual UT angle beam inspection of welded structural steel products (Tubular, buildings, bridges or naval) with a thorough knowledge of the technical application regarding this manual contact testing technique.
• Documents of certification to SNT-TC-1A UT Level II
• Able to detect ultrasonic indications, plot locations by depth, sound path distance, surface distance and determine signal characteristics
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to lead and motivate a crew
• Strong attention to detail, close observation and concentration skills
• Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, mechanical aptitude
• Excellent decision making, planning and organizational skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Advanced reading, writing, and math skills
• Successful completion of ergonomics evaluation of physical requirements of position (routinely requires standing, walking, lifting up to 20 lbs.)
• Ability to follow work instructions and interpret code requirements
