Zetec, Inc. is currently seeking a Sales Director to pursue and drive sales opportunities with new customers and key accounts in assigned market segments within North America.

The individual who will be most successful in this role will have a roll-up your sleeves, get it done attitude, be adaptable, love to learn and operate with a high degree of integrity.

ESSENTIAL TASKS & DUTIES:

•Develop, qualify, grow and manage new sales opportunities commensurate with Business Unit goals and objectives.
•Develop, grow and manage key accounts (new and existing) within assigned region and market segments. Maintain contact with and visit key personnel at key accounts at least once a quarter.
•Collaborate with colleagues to develop customer and key account opportunities across regions and often multinationally to maximize growth of revenue in the assigned segment.
•Develop sales projections (quarterly by month, yearly and 3-5 year projections) and monitor sales and key account revenues.
•Work with Business Unit Product Manager(s) to provide in- and out-bound marketing.
•Grow the business of the segment by providing focused selling efforts on strategic and key account opportunities.
•Assess business conditions, competition, and sales opportunities within the region. Support or conduct market research and/or customer surveys.
•Research and develop account profiles and organizational "maps" of customers crossing into multiple regions.
•Understand and anticipate customer sales strategies.
•Master the basic capabilities of Zetec product offerings for the market segments. Provide and/or support product training to customers as needed.
•Set up and manage market segment sales action plans, including customer visits, sales calls, attendance at seminars, symposia, etc. Support specific exhibitions, shows, associations and other related events within the market segment.
•Develop and make presentations of company products to current and potential customers.
•Effectively utilize sales resources including application support personnel, product development personnel and customer service personnel.
•Work with Customer Service/Inside Sales personnel to ensure quotations and purchase orders are complete and accurate. Work with customers as needed to ensure product sales are properly documented.

•Travel globally in support of sales strategy and tactics.

Skills:
The individual in this position may be subject to a Federal background investigation. U.S. citizenship required.


Knowledge & Skills
•Excellent oral, written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation communications skills in the English language.
•Solid working knowledge of assigned market segment/industry.
•Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of sales and customer service excellence.

Education Minimum Requirements/Equivalent:
•Bachelor’s Degree in technical or engineering discipline or marketing or equivalent work experience.

Experience:
•Eight years market segment/industry experience.
•Eight years sales experience in high-tech, B2B environment.
•Three years marketing experience (preferred).
•Two years experience with NDE or electronic instrumentation technologies.
•Five years experience with launching conventional and break-through concept products and taking products through their entire life cycle (preferred).
•Three years management experience or cross-functional supervisory experience (preferred).
