SUMMARY:

Individuals will be responsible for independently conducting nondestructive examinations (NDE), specifically Ultrasonic Testing, for the purpose of assessing the condition of structures. This position will report directly to a Project Manager.



TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Individuals should be willing to conduct assignments in an environment of less than favorable conditions including; physically challenging conditions (heat, cold or physical activities such as climbing or carrying equipment).
- Ability to maintain focus in environments such as at heights, on scaffolds and noisy locations.
- Work typically consists of 25% non destructive testing and 75% of the time performing structural inspections and reporting.
- Ensures equipment is maintained and in proper location.
- Majority of work day is spent in the field.
- Extended field work requiring overnight travel and/or nighttime inspections required.
- Must be able to work in a team.
- Must be able to work extended work hours/days/weeks.
- Knows how to perform his/her duties safely.
- Knowledgeable of construction practices.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- ASNT Level II or III in Ultrasonic Testing.
- An understanding of the basic physical NDE principles and processes.
- 2+ of inspection experience, preferabely in bridge inspection.
- CAD experience a plus.
