Set Up Operator – machinist, multi spindle screw machine

A long time manufacturer of screw machine components is busy and hiring. This company has been in business for over 50 years. They have many valued employees who have been with the company for over 20 years. The company has very low employee turn over. They are looking for 2 additional set up machinists. They’re also looking for a possible leader as the Acme supervisor nears retirement. The company offers relocation assistance to qualified candidates outside of their area. They also offer health, dental, vision and life insurance. Their 401K provides a dollar for dollar match on the first 3% of contributions and $.50 on the dollar for the next 2%. In addition, they offer a incentive bonus to all employees based on efficiencies. This bonus encourages productivity and team work. They pay out this incentive every 2 weeks. Our client has 1 to 2 5/8 inch multi spindle Acme screw machines. We are searching for experienced operators and set up machinists. The ideal candidate will have experience working from a print, layout and work instructions. Experience setting cams, gears, collets, cutting tools and tool holders is needed. Some experience grinding or sharpening tooling is a plus. Machine repair is also a plus. All open positions are on first shift. The normal hours are 7am to 3:30pm. Overtime is also available. MUST HAVE: 5 years of Acme screw machine set up experience or 3 years of operation. We will consider candidates with other brands of screw machine experience such as New Britain, Davenport, Conematic, Index, Euroturn, Tornos, Schutte and/or Gildemeister cam driven automatic screw machines
