Job Summary:
The Site Quality Control Inspector will perform all activities required to ensure that Corval Group’s services fit their purpose and meet customer expectations. Their activities ensure the quality of the site installations is consistent with the company’s policy requirements.
Skills:
Key Responsibilities:
• Applying quality control/assurance specifications, codes, and standards.
• Coordination with the field subcontractors for all quality assurance procedure specifications and procedures qualifications reports.
• Review course and effects of defects and take remedial actions.
• Coordination with the field subcontractors and Third Party Inspection companies.
• Daily reporting and documenting of job site activities and compliance.
• Documenting third-party testing of soils, concrete and grout.
• Review of all NDT reports on a daily basis.
• Perform regular QA/QC audits.
• Reviewing the inspection and testing method and procedures for Radiographic, Dye Penetrate, Magnetic Particle, and Ultrasonic Inspections.
• Witnessing of qualifications testing and procedures qualification testing.
• Reviewing of all summary reports.
• Checking test packages for NDT compliance prior to testing.
• Advising the site subcontractors with regards to testing.
• Selection of item for non-destructive testing.
• Recording and listing of defective items following testing.
• Monitor and Post Weld Heat Treatment onsite and review the competed test reporting.
• Monitor the control and issue of welding electrodes.
• Review day-to-day applications for x-raying of items.
• Coordinate the issue of nonconformance reports through the site QC manager.
• Complete site quality instructions to sub-contractors when required.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience, preferably in industrial construction/fabrication environment.
• High School Education or Equivalent Required.
• Associates Degree in Inspection or Construction Related Field Preferred.
• AWS CWI Preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 Preferred

Working Conditions:
• Construction site environment – physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Exposed to high noise levels. Ability to drive a vehicle to and from the project site.
• Travel required. 3 - 6 month assignments. Upper Midwest States. 40 hours with possibility of 60 hours / week
• Office environment – extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally.
