This posting is for a resident inspector position in a growing chemical manufacturing plant located in Plaquemine, La. The ideal candidate will live in the Baton Rouge-Lafayette area. The candidate will work within an existing OSHA PSM mechanical integrity group and will perform inspections of piping, pressure vessels, storage tanks, rotating equipment and various other plant equipment and be able to input inspection findings into a mechanical integrity software system. The candidate must be knowledgeable of OSHA PSM 1910.119(j) for the mechanical integrity of equipment and should be able to work around other personnel in the PSM department.

Limited knowledge of NDT is necessary since thickness measurements will be made of plant assets. A valid API certification is a plus, but not a requirement as long as the individual has some process equipment inspection experience.
