Purpose:

The Inspector handles technical pipeline inspections performed with intelligent inspection tools and participates in general workshop support. Additionally, this position ensures smooth execution of service projects.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Independently executes inspections at the client’s site.
• Prepares inspection tools and support equipment for transportation to job site.
• Responsible for the supervision, construction, maintenance, and repair of inspection tools and testing equipment which includes the preparation of mechanical and electrical aspects of inspection tools and equipment based on standard operating procedures both pre-run and post-run.
• Organizes activities on-site.
• Assists customers and field personnel in the preparation, launching, and trapping of inspection equipment.
• Maintains documentation in connection with inspection project.
• Gathers and verifies data during field survey.
• Manages all technicians assigned to project and works with project managers to ensure customer care.
• Facilitates training and development of technicians.
• Reviews opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies at the position level.
• Operates forklifts & overhead crane as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills:
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

• Technical Associate degree or High School diploma with 2+ years of corresponding work experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Valid drivers’ license with clean driving record
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport

Work Environment:
This position normally works in a field environment and work includes extreme conditions: hot, wet, and cold.

Additionally, extensive travel that includes domestic, international, and on- and off-shore, along with evening work are included in the position.

This position involves travel to field locations, customer sites, and the NDT shop or test facilities.

The travel required for this position is 50% to 90%.
