Space Science Services, Inc. is a licensed and registered
Engineering, Testing, and Inspection company. This company
was incorporated in 1961 and has over 50 years industrial
experience providing inspection services to the
utility, paper mill, petrochemical, aircraft, aerospace,
and construction industries. Space Science Services, Inc.
located in Orlando, Fl. is currently seeking to fill a
position for a Certified Welding Inspector.

Job Duties:

• Inspect welds in accordance with AWS & ASME standards on
Fabricated/Erected structural steel beams, columns, piping,
etc.
• Inspect beams, columns, piping, etc. insuring finished
products meets fabrication/erection drawing specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication/erection
drawings.
• Compile and submit inspection reports daily.
• Perform certification of welding procedures and welder
qualifications.
• Position is full time 40+ hours weekly.

Requirements:

• Must possess Certified Welding Inspector Certification
• GED or higher
• 2 - 5 year experience inspecting AWS structural steel
and/or ASME piping/vessels.
• Extensive knowledge of AWS and/or ASME industry standards.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Good Microsoft Office skills

Physical Requirements:

Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing,
pulling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking,
hearing, visual acuity, accommodation and color vision;
moving, carrying and lifting objects in excess of 50 pounds;
climbing and working off of ladders, stairs and scaffolding
in excess of 100 feet; working extended hours and standing
for extended periods of time; Working in indoor and outdoor
environments in conditions of extreme heat and cold; work in
and near industrial hazards.
