PAY RANGE: $46,900 - $101,000

Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. However, hours can be irregular. Nights, weekends, and extra hours will be required as plant conditions dictate.

Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide resources to power plants to develop and administer a comprehensive predictive maintenance program. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: establish and administer Predictive Maintenance programs at power plants based on their individual needs. These programs should use all available technologies to help achieve improved reliability, such as vibration monitoring and analysis, balancing, thermography, airborne ultrasonic emissions, motor diagnostics, alignment, oil analysis and various Non Destructive Testing Methods including VT, PT, MT, UT & ET
Skills:
Education and Experience:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. A technical degree is preferred. Two years of experience in industrial plant environment operating, maintaining rotating equipment or related field required. Possession of ASNT Level I / ISO CAT II Vibration Analysis certification is desirable. The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years experience with powerplant turbines and flexible rotor dynamics along with familiarity using Bently & CSI Turbine/Generator monitoring systems and related analysis software. Additional experience or certifications using UT flaw detection, eddy current, and other NDE methods aredesirable. The programs must include periodic reporting to quantify the benefits and to communicate results to plant personnel.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Successful candidate will have experience and background relating:

A) Transition from time based maintenance to condition based.
B) Development & implementation of predictive maintenance programs.
C) Determine appropriate NDE and apply to system equipment.

Must have excellent communication skills and be proficient in technical reading and writing. Must be able to apply tact, diplomacy, reason and logic. Must be able to respond quickly, develop and apply procedures, process information in an organized, timely and accurate manner.

Must have ability to utilize appropriate computer programs, including any PC related applications.

Licenses, Certifications, Bonding and/or Testing:
Successful candidate must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Working Conditions:
Must have the ability to perform the physical activities of the job. Requires extensive on site plant work with some office work. Requires the ability to work outdoors and in an industrial plant environment including, but not limited to, exposure to ambient temperature extremes, dusty/moist environments, climbing ladders and stairways, working at heights on elevated structures and platforms, and working in cramped spaces occasionally which may require bending, stooping, and standing. Requires some work beyond normal working hours as workload and emergency response warrants. Must have satisfactory work record including good attendance.
