POSITION SUMMARY:
The Safety Manager is responsible for the site compliance
with all Acuren Inspection safety procedures and policies
as well as all safety regulations. This position will
work closely with the Segment Safety Director and the
Division Manager to develop and implement all safety
plans, procedures and training.

REPORTING:
This position reports to the Acuren Inspection Safety
Director with daily work to be coordinated by the
Division Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Administer all safety and occupational health
policies in the Acuren Inspection safety manual, and
maintain the required records and documentation.
• Maintain all safety records and files, as well as
the Safety boards (e.g., training records, MSDSs,
inspections, audits, program documents, etc.)
• Conduct New Hire orientation
• Conduct driver training and driver evaluations.
• Maintain a site training plan/tracking system.
• Participate incident investigations performed
onsite and participate in management review calls.
• Coordinate with the Worker’s Compensation liaison
on work related claims and subsequent return to work.
• Maintain site safety statistics and prepare
monthly reports
• Coordinate the development and promotion of
safety training programs and safety award programs.
• Work as the liaison with client safety personnel,
participate in pre-job meetings, post job reviews and
obtain feedback on safety performance for use in
improving programs.
• Provide leadership to implement the Acuren
Inspection/Rockwood safety initiatives.
• Procure safety supplies in concert with profit
center managers.
• Conduct JHA and Field Crew Audits.
• Conduct monthly shop inspections
• Track all safety-related corrective actions and
communicate with management on status/ closure.
• Perform pre-job risk assessments and site
orientations during outages.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Prefer 5 years’ experience in field service
employment specific to client industries (i.e.
petrochemical, gas production, chemical, etc.) or three
years industry experience with at least a two year
degree in a related field, or professional certification
(OHST, CHST, CSP).
• OSHA 30 Hour General Industry or Construction
required or must be attained within first six months of
employment.
• OSHA 3010 Excavating, Trenching and Soil
Mechanics – Competent Person Training required or must be
attained within first six months of employment.
• Preferred OSHA Fall Protection Competent Person
training. Required or must be attained within first six
months of employment.
• Previous experience as an occupational safety
leader or field safety auditor required
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of OSHA
required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
required.
• Self-starter, enthusiastic, energized team player
required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
The employee is frequently required to stand and walk
and occasionally climb. The employee must regularly lift
and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or
move up to 25 pounds.
