Hexcel is currently seeking a NDT Technician Level II for their Kent, WA operation.
The NDT Technician will be responsible for performing ultrasonic testing of composite structures. The technician will perform testing per established written customer specifications and Hexcel ultrasonic techniques and procedures. The individual will be certified Level I per industry specification requirements.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

- Inspection of composite structures for internal defects per applicable standards, codes and specifications.
- Occasional interface with customers regarding defects and/or details of tests;
- Stage and prepare parts for test; operate robotic scanning equipment;
- Manually test parts with hand yokes and/or contact probes;
- Perform defect characterization and evaluation;
- Interpret test results; write and enter reports in computer; maintain equipment, clean area;
- Monitor automated ultrasonic systems as directed by senior personnel.
Skills:
Qualifications:

- A.A. degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Must have experience with inspection of composites.
- Must be able to attend classes in ultrasonic testing and certify Level II per NAS410-2 within 14 months of hire.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or government regulations.
- Effective report writing and presentation skills.
