Seeking LOCAL Level II RT Film Interpreters with a minimum of 3 years experience for our client; a small, private, family owned business of over 60 years, serving the aerospace and nuclear communities. This position is a full time position located in E. Hartford, CT. You MUST have prior experience reading and evaluating welds, braze joints and castings.

The successful candidate must have the skills and knowledge to set up and calibrate equipment, conduct tests, interpret, evaluate and document results in accordance with customer procedures, applicable codes, specs, and standards.

- All candidates must provide documentation of sufficient education, training and experience to ensure certification in those NDT methods in which they are being considered for certification
- Level 2 candidates must be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the test method and shall exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job (OJT) training and guidance of trainees and Level 1 personnel
- Level 1 candidates will be considered if you can meet the requirements of NAS 410 and ASNT-TC-1A for certification as a Level 2 RT technician
- Qualified and certifiable to the requirements of NAS 410 and ASNT-TC-1A as a Level 2 radiographer
- Certification in PT and VT a plus
- High School diploma or equivalent

Skills:
• Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method.
• Have the skills and knowledge to conduct systems performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.
• Have prior experience reading and evaluating welds, braze joints and casting to customer specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Capable of providing the necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees and level 1 personnel.
• When specified in the written practice, be capable of developing work instructions from the approved general procedures and submit to the level 3 certified in the method for final approval.
• Have a basic knowledge of the relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
