We are searching for a Supervisor to plan, lead, guide
and direct a world class machining department. The
Machining Supervisor will mentor, coach and motivate
skilled machinists. Candidates will need experience
planning and scheduling the department based on orders
and customer needs. The Machining Supervisor will review
all scheduled production to ensure materials, tooling and
labor requirements. Experience hiring, training,
reviewing, motivating, disciplining and promoting
associates is needed. The Machining Supervisor will work
on cross functional teams to introduce new products into
production and supports new processes. Past experience
ensuring a safe work environment, compliance with OSHA
and hazardous waste. RCRA guide lines is a plus. Strong
follow up skills working throughout the department to
ensure production objectives, set up times, efficiencies
and throughput is a must. Candidates who worked in a
production machining environment are preferred. Past
experience leading production on machine tools such as
CNC lathes, CNC mills, machining centers, rotary transfer
machines, trunnion transfer machines, dial machines,
automotive screw machines and/or production machining
equipment. Candidates who have training in Lean
manufacturing, Kaizen, 5-S, SMED and six sigma
methodologies is needed. The Machining Supervisor will
be part of a team to work on continuous improvement
teams. Knowledge of cutting tool and work holding
applications is a plus.

MUST HAVE: Interested candidates will need an Associates
or Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience with
heavy continuing education in machining, supervision,
leadership and Lean. 5 years plus of leading a
production machining department with strong planning,
scheduling and problem solving skills is a must. Good
written and verbal communication skills is required. The
ideal candidate will have a Six Sigma, Lean certification
or experience implementing Lean manufacturing
methodologies.
