Lead Mechanical Inspector

We are searching for a leader that will oversee the
metrology/inspection associates. The Lean Mechanical
Inspector is a hands on position. Candidates will need
strong written and verbal communication skills. Past
experience documenting first article inspection results,
procedures, work instructions and SOP’s is needed. This
position will issue non-conformance reports and assist in
the disposition of products. The Lean Mechanical
Inspector will plan, schedule inspection and assign work
for first article, in-process and final inspection.
Knowledge of the use of mics, calipers, comparators,
height, block, chamfer, radius thread, indicators and
various measuring hand tools to ensure proper dimensions.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with ISO-9000
standards and have the ability to write and update
procedures. Experience reading prints and Gd&T skills is
needed. This position requires the mechanical inspection
of high precision small machined components and
stampings.

MUST HAVE: a minimum of 7 years of mechanical inspection
of machined and/or metal stampings. Knowledge of
measuring equipment, hand tools and wide variety of
gauges is required. The Lead Mechanical Inspector will
need strong leadership skills, assigning work and
reducing bottlenecks. Knowledge of ISO-9000 standards
and the ability to work procedures and work instructions
is needed.
