Radiation Safety Officer needed A.S.A.P. in Decatur, Alabama. Pay D.O.E. Applicants must be able to meet the requirements to serve as a Radiation Safety Officer under Alabama’s regulations. The duties will include the following:
Manage the operation and scheduling of radiography personnel and equipment. Perform regular radiation safety audits to insure radiographers are in compliance with all regulations.
Maintain all records required by state and federal regulations and Turner’s O & E
Review all applicable state and federal regulation and implement changes necessary to remain in compliance.
Perform investigations of over-exposures., accidents, losses, thefts, or misuse of equipment.
Respond to radiation safety emergencies and submit required reports to regulatory agencies.
Be responsible for the training and guidance of radiographers and trainees.
Perform quality audits to insure radiographs and paperwork are meeting the applicable code.
Other duties as directed.
