Position Title: Corporate NDT Level III
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: Director of Quality
Manages: None
Other Requirements: Occasional out of town and overnight travel with or without notice.

GENERAL SUMMARY

The primary function of this position is to ensure the implementation, maintenance and on-going development of TEAM’s NDE personnel qualification and certification and NDE technical programs, as maintained by TEAM’s Quality Department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Periodically review and update TEAM’s NDE certification examinations to ensure the effectiveness of this key assessment process.
• Recommend program improvements as needed.
• Revise TEAM’s NDE personnel qualification and certification procedures as necessary to maintain program compliance.
• Develop and maintain all TEAM’s Process Specifications (TIPS) for NDE, including the development and maintenance of all NDE technical procedures, forms and supporting documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of capital expense and operating budgets relating to the above programs, as needed.
• Provide support for TEAM training initiatives relating to the areas which assigned, and other training as requested by supervision.
• Serve as a TEAM Representative to ASME, API, ASTM and other organizations as needed.
• Maintain an awareness and understanding of all applicable regulations, codes, standards and specifications, as well as company policies and procedures; complete any training necessary to support these activities and communicate these requirements to affected branch personnel as necessary.
• Communicate with customers on technical and program issues. • Provide training, as necessary, to affected personnel, including customers, to obtain program compliance, process efficiency and effectiveness, cooperation and morale.
• Participate in other general administrative and technical activities such as cost reduction methods, communications, safety, housekeeping and employee training.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Perform all other duties as directed by supervision, to include, but not limited to:
· Assist branches in the preparation of certification program documentation.
· Assist branches in the preparation of branch and/or customer specific procedures.
• Perform Quality Control (QC) reviews of:
· Critical Job (CJ) orders for nuclear-related services.
· Job or branch-specific procedures.
· Completed inspection reports and related documentation.
• Provide QC assistance in the qualification of job or branch-specific procedures.
• Provide QC support of "R", "NR" and "VR" program activities.
• Assist in selected, customer-requested projects.

JOB STANDARDS
QUALIFICATIONS

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent, technical school or college credits preferred.
• Must possess a current ASNT NDE Level III Certificate in the NDE method responsible and possess adequate knowledge in the NDE method responsible.
• Must have successfully completed all TEAM required training (i.e., Safety, Smith Driving, Quality, etc.).
• Proven ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
• Proven ability to prioritize and complete work assignments by specific deadlines.
• Proven ability to follow and communicate to subordinates precise directions and procedures of the customer on the project.
• Must be able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is conducted in a semi-private office/cubicle setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employee to communicate effectively.
