CNC Mill Programmer
A division of a growing corporation producing medical

We are searching for an experienced 4 – 5 axis CNC Mill
Programmer to program and prove out new repeatable
milling processes. The CNC Milling Programmer interprets
drawings and/or solid models to develop the best method
for machining components. This position involves
selecting machinery, calculating cycle times, specifying
cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, vices, clamps or
work holding devices. The CNC Mill Programmer will
generate CNC code to optimize the process. Past
experience using cam software such as Surfcam, Mastercam,
Featurecam, Smartcam and or other brands is preferred,
but not required. The company will provide training on
their cam software. Interested candidates with
experience creating macro B programs for families of
parts and common operations is a plus. The CNC Mill
Programmer will need good shop math skills using algebra
and set up sheets. Tool lists and work instructions is
needed. The ideal candidate will have direct experience
on 4 or 5 axis Mazak, Haas or Mikron mills. Experience
on other brands of CNC mills, machining centers, VMC’s or
HMC’s will be strongly considered. Knowledge of
Mazatrol, Haas and/or Heidenhain control is preferred,
but not required. The CNC Mill Programmer will also work
on continuous improvements of cutting tools, fixturing,
processes and CNC programs. Past experience reducing
cycle times, set up time, tool cost and tool changes is a
plus. Interested candidates will need solid CNC
programming, processing, set up and troubleshooting
experience. Past experience working in a medical device,
ISO-13485 or FDA regulated environment is also a plus.
Knowledge of precision measuring tools such as calipers,
micrometers, depth gauges and indicators. Good
communication and computer skills is required.
MUST HAVE: 5 years of CNC programming, processing and
set up skills directly on true 4 or 5 axis mills and/or
machining centers. Knowledge of cam software is a plus.
Direct experience on Haas, Mazak and/or Mikron mills is
preferred. Strong shop math skills is a must.
