PRIMARY PURPOSE
This representative is part of the team that supports CHI
NDT operations and efforts to ensure that our components
and aircraft meet aviation authority requirements by
performing non-destructive testing (NDT), developing and
approving NDT techniques and testing requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• 30% - Reads and interprets maintenance manuals,
or other technical data to determine the feasibility and
method to perform the assigned task. Ensures all
inspection findings and work performed/corrective action
is accurately documented in the appropriate maintenance
record. Performs regular review of overall work package
documentation. Will be part of the team responsible for
developing and approving of NDT techniques.
• 20% - Assists team in developing required
training for other CHI Team members.
• 20% - Inspects components and component parts for
damage using non-destructive testing and special tooling
and equipment. Utilizing special tools and equipment
performs tests and checks as required to confirm
component or aircraft serviceability.
• 10% - Ensures shop areas are kept clean, orderly
and FOD free. Follows standard work procedures for
equipment maintenance and clean up. Ensures tools and
equipment are well maintained, operable and accounted
for.
• 20% - Monitors and supports specific shop
continuous improvement activities by utilizing Lean and
continuous improvement tools striving to identify and
eliminate waste in all its forms in an effort to improve
quality and safety, decrease lead time and reduce cost.
• Capable of performing duties at our Aurora
facilities and capable of traveling to our International
locations.
• Other duties may be assigned.
Skills:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
• Must currently hold an ASNT Level III
certification in a minimum of one method.
• High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years in
an aircraft NDT maintenance or repair work environment.
Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the
field of NDT.
• NAS-410 Level 2 certification in Magnetic
Particle (MT) and Liquid Penetrant (PT) Eddy Current (ET)
required. Ultrasonic (UT) Limited Level 1 required.
Level 2 Radiographic (RT) experience is desired.
• Familiar with the products and processes
associated with aircraft maintenance and manufacturing.
• Certified per FAR Part 65. Be able to obtain
maintenance release and inspection authorizations.
• Thorough understanding of repair station
procedures, quality management system procedures
(maintenance and manufacturing) and associated federal
aviation regulations.
• Proactive problem solver.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-
oriented environment.
• Ability to provide mentorship and on-the-job
training.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Conduct oneself in accordance with Company’s Core
Values.
• Must meet International Traffic in Arms
Regulations (ITAR) as a U.S. Person.
