POSITION SUMMARY
The Technical Director will work from the Phoenix location and will have company-wide responsibility for the design and implementation of all inspection and parts cleaning systems, execution of all R&D projects, the qualification and certification of all NDT personnel in accordance with SNT-TC-1A, and management of the quality system.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
> Develops and implements inspection and cleaning systems (mechanical design, pulse/echo systems, controller/multiplexer, calibration scheme, accept/reject scheme, work cell design) to meet needs of customer driven and or internal projects
> Oversees and ensures proper functioning of all inspection, cleaning and related equipment used in serial production in partnership with the operations team
> Leads day to day execution of all R&D projects whether customer or internally driven. These projects are prosecuted separately from serial production work managed by the operations team
> Authors, implements and oversees the personnel qualification and certification system in accordance with SNT-TC-1A
> Authors, implements and oversees the quality system
> Reports / escalates / resolves issues as needed
> Assists senior management team with corporate development as needed
> Adheres to company values and standards
> Performs plant wide end of shift 5S/cleanup daily or as directed
> Accurately and completely performs record keeping as directed
> Other duties as assigned by President

Skills:
QUALIFICATIONS
> Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green card holder)
> Minimum 10 years’ experience in the field of NDT
> ASNT UT Level III certification is required; ASNT ET, MT, PT minimum level II certifications are required, level III preferred
> Minimum 5 years’ experience in design and implementation of high speed inspection systems
+ UT inspection utilizing conventional transducers (A-scan, C-scan)
+ UT inspection utilizing phased array transducers
+ RAM-NDT
+ High speed ET
+ Familiarity with PLC, sub system communication, signal processing and related equipment control systems
+ Process automation to include part conveyance into, through and out of system
> Experience implementing and managing personnel certification system per NAS 410 or SNT-TC-1A
> Experience implementing and managing quality system per ISO 9000, AS 9100 or equivalent
> B.S. degree in relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Materials) is required, advanced degree preferred
> Expert-level use of MS Office required
