Job Summary:
Alta Vista Solutions is looking for an AWS Certified Welding Inspector/NDT Level II. This position would be responsible for performing Quality Assurance duties and functions. This position works closely in a team environment and reports to a task leader who will establish clear expectations in terms of work quality, efficiency, and technical development. The individual in this role will work directly with clients on technical aspects of the projects and therefore must be able to clearly and concisely communicate code or contract specific requirements.
Job Duties:
• Understand client and customer needs
• Develop innovative solutions to meet client and customer needs
• Operate within the customers’ safety protocols at all times
• Complete all required documentation including work logs
• Must be capable of performing inspection for Quality workmanship

• Understand AWS D1.1, D1.8, D1.5 and be able to perform welding inspections per these codes
• NDT Level II certifications in the following disciplines: UT, RT, MT, PT
• Experience with precast and prestressed concrete
• Ability to learn new disciplines and obtain certification for NDT/PCI/ACI
• Understands and able to implement weld tracking
• Understands and is familiar with ASTMs/CTMs
• Must be able to maintain all certifications on time
• Has knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safe work practices
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• AWS CWI required
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a welding inspector preferred
