Reports to: Consulting Engineering Manager
Locale: Richmond, VA, Raleigh NC, or Cheasapeake, VA
Summary : The primary focus will be on mechanical equipment reliability and the inspection and assessment of tanks, vessels, piping components.
Performs field inspections and recommendations for repairs and alterations of tanks, pressure vessels, and piping for compliance with standards and regulations, and ensures quality control and compliance
At least one of the following certifications API-653, API-510, API-570. CWI and STI certifications are a plus.
3- 10 years’ experience in mechanical reliability, tank/vessel/piping inspections, or design and MI program management.
Plant engineering experience
Industrial inspection, operations, and maintenance experience
Process improvement experience
Strong leadership skills and ability to work unsupervised
Strong organizational skills
Ability to write reports detailing assessments and results
Experience with Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD
Ability to multi-task and work in a growing environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Power-point, AutoCAD
Engineer in Training (EIT) , Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) and /or desired to acquire Professional Engineer (PE)
Familiarity with API, ASME, NACE, NBIC a plus
Travel 20- 50%
