Our Client is an Aerospace Manufacture primarily working with Sheet Metal and Titanium products located in San Diego, CA. They are looking for Quality Assurance Non Destructive Inspectors/Level II positions. The following details the duties and responsibilities of the position but are not limited to:

1. Plan inspection method including setup and mathematical computations required to layout first article parts to verify conformance to toll design and/or blue print specifications.

2. Inspect supplier-furnished raw material and fabricated or processed parts using standard inspection fixtures or gages to assure visual and dimensional compliance with requirements. Verify that required certifications are present and comply with the purchase order-referenced specifications.

3. Perform receiving inspection, in-process and final inspection of parts and assemblies to assure visual and dimensional compliance to specifications, including use of coordinate measuring machines/Leica Laser, etc.

4. Set-up and Non-Destructive Testing(i.e. FPI/X-Ray/Conductivity/etc.) inspection of material, parts, and weldments, per written procedures to verify conformance to applicable blueprints and specifications.

5. Set-up and perform Destructive Testing (i.e. Hardiness, Tensile/etc.) inspection of material, parts, and weldments, per written procedures to verify conformance to applicable blueprints and specifications.

6. Perform set-up and mathematical computations required to inspect, adjust, and calibrate measuring equipment, gages, test equipment and qualifying fixtures.

7. Maintain receiving inspection certifications, penetrant inspections files and records. In addition, maintain gage calibration history files and records on active gages.

8. Recall gages for periodic checks to verify continued precision and accuracy.

9. Work with production supervisors and operators to document and maintain statistical process control (SPC) data and charts.

10. Work with technicians/inspectors to upgrade their dimensional inspection skills, improve product quality and qualify technician for inspection certification.

11. Inspects all type of tools and gages, including fixtures, dies, and templates using precision measuring equipment.

Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measurement in percentage, fractions and decimals.

High School Diploma or GED Certificate or equivalent in experience.

Minimum 2+ years applicable technical training courses in metrology, basic trigonometry, ANSI Y 14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing inspection techniques, SPC, plus related experience including CMM operation and surface plate layout.

Minimum 2 years direct experience.

Certified as Level II Penetrant Inspector per SNT-1A and NAS-410.

Ability to read blue prints/specifications for engineering drawings.

Ability to use a variety of tools and machines.

Ability to follow and comprehend verbal and written instructions and well as present information in both verbal and written form.

Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measurement in percentage, fractions and decimals.

Ability to apply concepts and interpret graphs and technical drawings.

Ability to work well in a diverse and team environment.
