We are currently accepting resumes for an Interpreter:

POSITION SUMMARY: The Interpreter will analyze and process inspection data and inspection work packages from the NDE crews in accordance with Mistras policies and procedures.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

• Analyze and associate inspection data and scan logs in MIMIR as needed.
• Enter analyzed data into MIMIR and/or film imaging software GE Rhythm.
• Interpret and grade radiographic images and/or review ultrasonic testing reports.
• Perform fitness for service calculations as necessary.
• Research equipment engineering specifications and historical inspection/layout data.
• Process inspection work packages within MIMIR.
• Process and route change sheets for data corrections.
• Assist with the development and revisions of working procedures.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform all duties in accordance with applicable Mistras and client HSE requirements.
• Communicate with client, supervisors, peers, and inspection personnel to resolve issues.
• Have minimal rework due to errors caused by inaccurate interpretation, data analysis or incorrect information in work packages.
• Maintain a minimal backlog of workload so as not to impact others.
• Demonstrate flawless application of all HSE and company policies and procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Interpreter should have knowledge of the NDE inspection methods used for inspection of piping systems on the Clients Project, possess an understanding of the layout and process, and be familiar with the various corrosion mechanisms that affect equipment and process systems in Greater Prudhoe Bay.
• Interpreter should possess a high experience level of capability in the use of EXCEL.
• Interpreter should have a good working knowledge of MIMIR and understand the change sheet process.
• Must be a self-starter, with strong work ethic.
• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs.

We are seeking candidates that are willing to make a minimum 1-2 year commitment. This is a FULLTIME position with benefits. We are not seeking short term contractors. You are responsible for travel costs to and from Anchorage or Fairbanks, AK.
